  • Noticed the "Orginal" rear tires on the tractor that's definitely an eye catcher for me! That's a very nice Unstyled A.

  • Thanks Ron!

  • While the John Deere Market is up , Now is a good time to sell the Unstyled A and rest of the others following the background of photo. "A" model is a tractor everyone and they're brother has. Would you consider a un-seen cash offer?
Brandan Smoker wrote on Saturday, September 21, 2019 (PDT):
  • Sorry, not for sale.
Courtland wrote on Sunday, September 22, 2019 (PDT):
  • I have a JD 40V for sale, if interested. Accepting offers.

  • Brandan, from our archives and how nice your tractor is I've noticed you replied back and mentioned "not forsale" I asked would you consider a offer from our Museum of 1500.00 Cash we will organize pickup.
JD Museum-Waterloo IA wrote on Sunday, September 22, 2019 (PDT):
  • Courtland, without being able to see it no pictures I will not be able to proceed offering. A 40V nicely restored expo quality rightnow with the market where it's at 800- 1500. If you're willing to make a deal somewhere between those numbers feel free to contact back. We will organize pickup thankyou.

  • No, I could never sell it for 1500. This is the 891st one built and it has the "General Purpose" serial number tag. Deere only built 1,050 with this tag back in 1934. Only about 300 are still known to exist today.
JD Museum-Waterloo IA wrote on Monday, September 23, 2019 (PDT):
  • Brandan, will you give me the serial number off your tractor please.
Ron Drosselmeyer wrote on Monday, September 23, 2019 (PDT):
  • That's a pretty good price Brandan. Considering 300 still known in existence is still alot! The numbers and figures doesn't mean hardly anything anymore unless it was 1 of 30 or something very low production. Or expo quality restorations. But 1500 would be a very good price!

  • Brandan, the other commenters are "working you" they may even be the same person, at any rate they're trying to lowball you hard. Unstyled Open fan shaft A tractors are extremely rare, usually go for 5,000 on up.

  • Jason, We are the John Deere Museum/ Pavilion here locally in Waterloo, Iowa we go around and try to find nice Expo Certified Quality 2 cyl JD tractors around the world to buy and feature in our relic museum. What we offered on these tractors is top dollar of the month of September 2019 considering it's not Expo Quality Certified. 1200 - 1500 Cash is what we offered and we greatly will set up and organize pickup. Feel free to contact the office JDMueseumpavilion.con

  • Hey Brandan look em up, rough looking tractors start at 2500 on the low end needing totally restored so id kinda like to know where they're getting their numbers, in fact muesem guy what's your supervisors phone num?
Alan wrote on Monday, September 23, 2019 (PDT):
  • Woah....the whole cash offer sounds sketchy on top of the rest. If it was an actual muesem they'd pay with check

  • Now alot of ppl may not like my opinions however im very knowledgeable on old tractors, and whilst i feel like they should be in a muesem or stored how yours is, i am all for personal collections. That is a fine example of a tractor. Thumbs up

  • Howdy doo! What the heck is this mess? I took my honeymoon on A John Deere in 1993. We traveled about 30 miles into town to a local bed and breakfast and on the way home from the honey moon I stopped to put some fuel on it and I was so happy the night before was amazing I wasnt thinking and I put diesel in the tractor
